WPRA Purpose and Goals
When was the Windjammer Landing Private Residents Assocation formed?
WPRA was was founded in 2009.
What is the purpose of WPRA?
WPRA exists for the purpose of encouraging and facilitating communication between timeshare and
other owners at the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, and facilitating communication between
association members and the resort's management team. The Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort
is located on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
WPRA is a cooperative organization, not a combative one. WPRA represents itself to the resort's
management team as an organization that shares the same goals, namely the ongoing
financial success of the resort. The resort's financial success is identically the owner's financial success as
well. A successful resort directly translates into ongoing appreciation in each owner's investment.
WPRA intends that Windjammer Landing's management team should view it as an ally: a quick sounding
board for new ideas, a real time quality control feedback mechanism and many other presently unforseen uses.
Is WPRA formally affiliated with Windjammer Landing?
No. WPRA is a wholly independent organization, composed solely of Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort owners.
While not formally associated with Windjammer Landing, the resort's management team is fully aware of WPRA and
often refers new owners to the assocation's web site. To be as transparent as possible, WPRA encourages members
of Windjammer Landing's management team, and members of the Ellis Don parent company's management team, to join
WPRA so that they can interact fully with their WJL owners.
What are the goals of WPRA?
The following are the major goals of WPRA:
- Provide a web community for association members to facilitate the free flow of communication between
association members and between the resorts management team and assocation members. This communication
might include both resort related information (such as future build plans at WJL, current list pricing
of new villa units, positive or negative critiques of individual staff members, favorite Windjammer
Landing photos and so on) and St. Lucia related information (such as restaurant reviews, tour reviews,
other resort reviews and so on).
- Provide a web capability to facilitate the buying, selling, upgrading and downgrading of villas
both between members of the association and between members and non members.
- Achieve a high level of participation by WJL owners. A goal of >80% is targeted. Participation
is defined as voluntary registration by an owner with the association's web site.
- Provide an alternate vehicle for resort management to communicate with its villa timeshare owners
while simultaneously providing those some owners with an alternate way to communicate with WJL management.
Per the above, the WJL management team, and the parent Ellis Don company, are both encouraged to join
the WPRA online forums and interact fully with the owners.
- If desired by WPRA membership, represent high runner owner compliments, suggestions and
concerns to resort management. Such representations will only be made after a >50% participation
rate is achieved. Please note however that it is an expressed goal of WPRA to be a cooperative
organization, not a combative one. WPRA and WJL have shared and common goals and are natural allies.
It is not the purpose nor the intent of WPRA to become a "complaint board" except where owners
feel strongly that their financial investment in WJL is being devalued by policies that the
resort's management team is adopting.
- Operate with no fees imposed on the members. With the exception of physical materials such
as business cards, all work and time is provided on a strictly volunteer basis.

which allow members to interact with each other, a member-to-member private messaging

rent, and which also allows both members and non members to view the lists of available
villas.
WPRA Organizational Structure
What is the organizational structure of WPRA?
I see Officers listed on the "About" page - how are these positions filled?
WPRA does not presently have an organizational structure. It is a member created and member
operated assocation. At present, WPRA has been created and is being run by Michael Campbell, a
current WJL owner and the author/maintainer of the WPRA web site. Michael can be reached at
webmaster@wjlpra.com and at michael@campbell-tx.net.
